Summer Solstice
Yesterday was the longest day of the year, and certainly seemed it. We started out in the rain from our Libby Dam cabin and rode into the Rocky Mountains along the eastern shore of Lake Kootanusa to Rexford. There isn't much in between but mountains and forest, and as soon as the sun came out, the views were spectacular.

Long day and sounds like a profitable ride. Reaching Canada must be a milestone. We had tea at the Inn at Banff. Mother and Dad
ReplyDeleteThe rumor that weare in Banff was created by Latitude. We are in Rexford, Montana. We are probably going to skip Alberta, since Logi n pass is still closed by snow.
ReplyDeleteHello Candace,

Well, it's almost Canada according to my Atlas and magnifying glass. A day off and still you are going good distances. Average daily mileage is? Love, Mom and Dad
ReplyDeleteToday, we rode past two big signs that said 'Montana' and 'USA', so maybe we were in Canada. Michael says not.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you went into Canada. It looks like once you get through Glacier National Park everything gets much flatter.
